Q. Can I mail my registration in to the studio?
A. Not without prior approval from studio owner. Registration is best brought in to the studio because there may be errors in class placement.
Q. If I paid for my registration with a check/cash, can I decide to set up my tuition payments on an automatic debit from my credit card at a later date?
A. Of course! There is a simple registration form in the office to fill out, and you're all set!
Q. Does ATRM have an annual recital?
A. Yes. We are also going to have smaller performances throughout the year such as parades, shopping malls, community events, nursing homes, etc.
Q. How much can we expect to pay for recital costumes?
A. Depending on the company that we order from and the age of the dancer, our prices for costumes are going to vary. However, we try our best to keep recital costume costs below $40 for young dancers and below $70 for the advanced dancers.
Q. If I don't want to try out for Company in August, do I have to wait until next year?
A. If it is a Nationals year, such as this year, then yes. Otherwise, there will be another formal audition in January.
Q. Can parents watch class every week?
A. No. There will be bi-monthly Watch Weeks where family and friends can observe regular classes.
Q. Can parents and friends hang out in the common room?
A. the building while classes are going on so that students who are using the common room to study are not distracted. The common room is not a social gathering place for family and friends. Friends who are not ATRM students can not under ANY circumstances stay at the studio and wait for students to finish class. There will be NO adult supervision of the common room and ATRM will not be liable for children who are not students with our Company.
Q. Can students bring food/drink to the studio?
A. Of course! The common room is outfitted with a refrigerator, microwave and vending machine. Feel free to bring dinner and eat in the common room. **Please note that ATRM is not liable for any personal belongings that are left unattended in the common room.
Q. Are the dancers allowed to bring drinks and food in to class?
A. Drinks can only be brought in to class if they are kept in the dancer's dance bag. Food must be kept out of the studio. The common room is a good place to keep food/drinks while in class.
Q. Can I just come and watch a class or try it without actually registering?
A. YES! Watching a class needs to be approved by the Director before attending, but is FREE. If you wish to try a class, it will only cost $12 and you will need to sign a waiver in the office before attending the class.
